Maryland governor endorses Clinton

Clinton picked up an endorsement from Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley Wednesday.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sen. Hillary Clinton formally picked up the endorsement of Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley in Annapolis Wednesday.

"You know it is going to take a strong leader to reverse the catastrophic blunders of the Bush years, and put our nation back on the positive course that faces the opportunities of our shared future," O'Malley said.

He added, "Today it is with great pride and enthusiasm that I endorse my friend, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, to be the next president of the United States."

O'Malley was also named the chairman of Clinton's Maryland campaign.
