Gonzales heckled during speech
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Attorney General Alberto Gonzales was interrupted by a heckler Tuesday morning while giving a speech at the National Press Club on how to make communities safer from violent crimes.
As Gonzales began the speech, he was immediately interrupted by a woman shouting, "Mr. Gonzales, resign, you dishonored your country. You destroyed the constitution. You lied." Gonzales did not acknowledge the protestor directly, but smiled as she was escorted out. Gonzales is under fire for his role in the firings of eight U.S. attorneys. -- CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney
