Dodd launches ad attacking challengers on Iraq
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Connecticut Sen. Chris Dodd launched his first campaign ad Tuesday, sharply criticizing the other Democratic presidential candidates for not supporting a bill that would require all troops to redeploy from Iraq by March 31, 2008.
"Half measures won't stop this president from continuing our involvement in Iraq's civil war," Dodd said in the ad. "That's why I'm fighting for the only responsible measure in Congress that would take away the President's blank check and set a timetable to bring our troops home." The ad will air in Iowa, New Hampshire and national cable television stations. The campaign would not say how much it had spent on the ads or how long the ad would air. -- CNN Associate Producer Lauren Kornreich
