Gonzales to face key questions
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Attorney Gen. Alberto Gonzales will admit mistakes in the handling of the U.S. attorney firings, but will insist nothing he did was improper when he testifies before the Senate Judiciary Committee Thursday.
CNN's Kelli Arena reports that that the panel is likely to be concerned with three overarching issues: Gonzales' involvement in the firings, the reasons why the fired prosecutors were targeted, and the role certain White House officials played in the process. |
