Gilmore to announce his presidential bid Thursday
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Former Virginia Gov. Jim Gilmore will officially announce his bid for the GOP presidential nomination at an event in Iowa Thursday.
The announcement will come at the state GOP's headquarters in Des Moines and will be broadcast live on Gilmore's presidential Web site. The Virginia Republican formed a presidential exploratory committee in January. He reported approximately $90,000 cash on hand in his 2007 first quarter Federal Elections Commission filing. |
