Democrats can get away with being rich
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Democrats, like former Sen. John Edwards, can get away with being rich -- think Roosevelt and Kennedy. For Republicans, it confirms the stereotype that they are the party of wealth and privilege. It's particularly a problem if a Republican is BORN to wealth and privilege, like Bush's father. Most Republican candidates have not been born to wealth and privilege.
