Conyers postpones Goodling immunity vote
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers, D-Michigan, announced Monday morning that he has postponed a planned committee vote on whether to offer former top justice official Monica Goodling immunity in return for her testimony on the U.S. attorney firings.
Conyers said he decided to postpone the vote for a week after Texas Rep. Lamar Smith, the ranking Republican on the committee, asked for it. |
