Conservatives call for Bush to fire Gonzales
The leading conservatives -- including former Reagan Justice office Bruce Fein, American Conservative Union Chairman David Keene, well-know GOP fundraiser Richard Viguerie, former GOP congressman Bob Barr, and Rutherford Institute head John Whitehead -- wrote a letter to addressed to both Bush and Gonzales, calling the attorney general a "unsuitable steward of the law." Fein in particular has been an outspoken critic of Gonzales, calling for his resignation soon after the firings came into question. |
