Clinton's campaign goes 'carbon neutral' for Earth Day

Clinton announced Friday her campaign is going "carbon neutral."

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sen. Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign said it is marking Earth Day this Sunday by going "carbon neutral."

"In order to address the climate crisis, we all must act -- and that includes our campaign," Clinton said in a statement.

The campaign said they will purchase carbon offsets and make a series of efforts to conserve, including using recycled paper, installing motioned-controlled light switches, and encouraging staff members to use public transportation.

Clinton isn't the first Democratic presidential candidate to launch a "carbon neutral" campaign; former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards did so in March.
