Cheneys report earning $1,614,862 in 2006
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Vice President Dick Cheney and his wife Lynn reported a taxable income of $1,614,862 in 2006, leading them to pay $413,326 in income taxes, the White House said Friday. The income reflects the vice president's government salary, his pension from Union Pacific Corporation, his wife Lynn's partial book royalty advance, her work at the American Enterprise Institute, and her pension benefit from Reader's Digest, where she once served as a director, according to the White House. The Cheneys donated $104,425 to charity last year. |
