White House: Bush 'saddened' for Libby
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Bush watched the jury's verdict Tuesday in the CIA leak trial of former White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby on a television in the Oval Office, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said.
White House Chief of Staff Joshua Bolten and Counselor to the President Dan Bartlett were with Bush at the time. Perino said Bush respects the verdict, and is "saddened" for Libby and his family. She said the White House will not comment further on the trial, because the process is ongoing. -- CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney
