WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Ted Olson, a former U.S. solicitor general, will back former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani's White House bid.
Olson, the solicitor general from 2001-2004, will chair the New York Republican's Justice Advisory Committee, Giuliani's campaign announced in a statement Thursday. Olson and Giuliani worked together in the Reagan Administration from 1981-83. Olson was then assistant attorney general for the Office of Legal Counsel and Giuliani was an associate attorney general from 1981-83 before being appointed to U.S. attorney from the Southern District of New York. -- CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney
