Official: Bush will deliver brief address on 4th anniversary of Iraq war
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Bush will make a statement Monday from the White House's Roosevelt Room at 11:30 a.m. ET on the 4th anniversary of the Iraq war, a senior administration official told CNN.

The on-camera statement will last about five minutes and will focus on the current situation in Iraq, the official said. Bush will also thank U.S. troops for their sacrifices.

Before his address, Bush attended a private National Security Council meeting for an update on the Iraq situation, the official said.

Following that meeting, Bush will get another update from Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki via a secure videoconference before making his address, the official said.
