Vilsack to end White House bid
DES MOINES, Iowa (CNN) -- Former Iowa governor Tom Vilsack plans toannounce at noon Friday that he is dropping out of the 2008 race for president, a Democratic source with knowledge of his plans told CNN.The Democrat is holding a news conference at 11 a.m. CT (noon ET) Friday at his campaign headquarters in Des Moines, followed by a teleconference call with reporters a half hour later. -- CNN's Candy Crowley and Mark Preston
