Snowstorm gets in Romney's way
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Nearly every detail is carefully planned in a presidential campaign, but not even high powered-political operatives are able to control Mother Nature's wrath.
A day after former Gov. Mitt Romney kicked off his four-day, six-state announcement tour, the Massachusetts Republican was forced to delay his trip to the crucial primary state of New Hampshire as a significant snow storm barreled down on Northern New England. Romney had scheduled a rally in Hopkinton Wednesday afternoon, but "due to severe weather, numerous closings, and adverse road conditions," the presidential candidate was forced to postpone the event, according to a statement. Romney delivered remarks in Columbia, South Carolina earlier Wednesday and has a Boston fundraising gala planned Thursday night. -- CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney
