McCain gets support from three Cuban-American members of Congress
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Three Cuban-American members of Congress have endorsed Sen. John McCain's likely presidential bid, the Arizona Republican announced Thursday.
Rep. Illeana Ros-Lehtinen, Rep. Lincoln Diaz-Balart, and Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart -- all from Florida -- will support McCain's campaign when he formally announces for president, according to a statement. "Sen. McCain is a strong supporter of the U.S. embargo on Cuba and understands that the Cuban people have been living under tyranny for far too long," Ros-Lehtinen said in the statement. "John has been working with us to help bring freedom and democracy to the enslaved island." -- CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney
