Huckabee picks up support from Congress
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, formally exploring a bid for the White House, picked up support from two congressmen Friday.

Republican Reps. Don Young of Alaska and John Boozman of Arkansas will serve as the congressional chairman and co-chairman respectively of Huckabee's exploratory committee, according to a statement.

"Last month, Mike formed a presidential exploratory committee because he believes -- as I do - that it's time for Americans to experience a reawakening of the conservative values that make our country a land of opportunity and a beacon of hope and freedom around the world," Young wrote in a letter to congressional colleagues.

Huckabee, who was governor of Arkansas from 1996 until early last January, officially formed a presidential exploratory committee January 29.
