WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani announced his Massachusetts leadership team Thursday, the same day former Bay State Gov. and presidential candidate Mitt Romney plans a major fundraising gala in Boston.
Former Massachusetts Gov. Paul Cellucci will head up Giuliani's Bay State leadership team that includes a majority of the current Republican state senators as well as other Massachusetts Republicans, according to a statement from Giuliani's presidential exploratory committee. Brian Cresta, former chair of the Massachusetts Republican State Committee, Michel Knapik, a state senator, Bran Lees, a former senate minority leader, Bruce Tarr, the current assistant senate minority leader, and Richard Tisei, the current senate minority leader make up Giuliani's bay-state team. "It's an honor to have such valued Republican leaders in Massachusetts supporting Mayor Giuliani," Giuliani spokeswoman Katie Levinson said in the statement.
