Source: Petraeus tapped to replace Casey
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A senior U.S. military official tells CNN that Lt. Gen. David Petraeus has been tapped to replace Gen. George Casey as the chief commander in Iraq.
The official also tells CNN that Adm. William Fallon, the top Commander in the U.S. Pacific Command, has been tapped to take over as the commander for the U.S. Central Command, now led by Gen. George Abizaid. |
