Senior Democrat urges Obama not to run in 2008
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A senior Democrat from Sen. Barack Obama's birth-state of Hawaii told a local newspaper that the Illinois Democrat should not run for president.
In an interview with the Honolulu Star-Bulletin last week, Senator Daniel Inouye praised Obama but said he lacks the experience needed to run a national campaign. "He has been in the Senate for, what, two years," Inouye told the Honolulu Star-Bulletin. "You can almost anticipate what they are going to do with him. It is always predictable. Someone is always digging up dirt." Obama, who has served in the Senate for two years, has acknowledged he is considering a run for the White House. Inouye believes Obama's too young: http://starbulletin.com/2007/01/08/news/story01.html -- CNN's Steve Brusk
