Sen. Clinton: 'The wrong road -- only faster'
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-New York, Wednesday night said she can not support the president's plan to send over 21,000 mores troops to Iraq and missed the message the American people sent on Election night last year.
"The president simply has not gotten the message sent loudly and clearly by the American people, that we desperately need a new course," Clinton said in a statement. "The president has not offered a new direction, instead he will continue to take us down the wrong road -- only faster." -- CNN.com Senior Political Producer Scott Anderson
