Pelosi to meet with two Democratic members of 9/11 commission
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-California, is slated to meet with two members of the 9/11 commission on Monday afternoon, the day before the House is set to debate implementing several of the panel's recommendations.
Pelosi will hold talks with former Congressman Lee Hamilton, co-chairman of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States, and former Congressman Tim Roemer, a fellow panel member. Hamilton and Roemer were two of the five Democrats on the 10-person commission. Mississippi Democratic Rep. Bennie Thompson, the chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, and Rep. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-New York, will also join Pelosi and the commissioners. The group will hold a press conference at 2:15 p.m. ET. -- CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney
