Minority Leader Boehner: 'Victory in Iraq is our only option'
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- House Minority Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio, expressed support for President Bush's new Iraq strategy Wednesday night and challenged Democrats to come up with a better plan for victory if they oppose it.
"Victory in Iraq is our only option. Leaving Iraq to the terrorists would be a direct threat to the safety and security of the American people," Boehner said in a statement. "If Democrat leaders don't support the President's plan, it's their responsibility to put forward a plan of their own for achieving victory." -- CNN.com Senior Political Producer Scott Anderson
