Energy secretary to field public's questions online
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Energy Secretary Sam Bodman will head online Wednesday afternoon, answering questions about the energy policies President Bush proposed in his State of the Union address, White House deputy press secretary Dana Perino said.
Beginning at 4 p.m. ET, Bodman will be on "Ask the White House," an interactive forum in which senior officials, Cabinet ministers and others in the Bush administration field and answer questions from citizens. Earlier Wednesday, the president signed an executive order setting new goals, practices and reporting requirements for federal government employees regarding energy consumption. Among other measures, the order encourages use of alternate fuels and hybrid vehicles and limits on oil consumption and energy intensity through 2015. |
