Edwards to publish anti-war petition in Capitol Hill newspaper
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A week after John Edwards solicited supporters of his presidential campaign to sign a petition urging Congress to withhold funding for President Bush's planned troop increase in Iraq, the former North Carolina senator said he plans to publish the list of names in a prominent Capitol Hill newspaper.

Edwards will publish the full list -- numbering more than 80,000, according to his campaign -- in an advertisement in "Roll Call" Wednesday. Over the list of names, text will read in part "Last night you heard the president speak, today listen to the American people."

"Members of Congress: You have the power to block this escalation. Use it," the ad will also say.
