Bush to host GOP leaders at Camp David
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Bush has invited the GOP leaders of Congress to Camp David this weekend, two Republican sources tell CNN.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, Senate Minority Whip Trent Lott of Mississippi, House Minority Leader John Boehner of Ohio, and House Minority Whip Roy Blunt of Missouri will head to the Maryland presidential retreat later Friday, according to the GOP sources. While not confirming the list of those attending, a senior Bush administration official described the weekend as "social event" and "a chance to talk about priorities." Mr. and Mrs. Bush are slated to head to Camp David within the next hour. -- CNN's Dana Bash, Elaine Quijano, and Deirdre Walsh
