WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sen. Tim Johnson was responding to his wife Barbara's voice, holding her hand, and following directions after undergoing brain surgery, his office said late Thursday.
"Our family is very pleased with his progress and the excellent care he is receiving at George Washington University Hospital," Barbara Johnson said in remarks relayed by the senator's office. "We ask for your continued prayers as Tim continues through the recovery process." The statement from Barbara Johnson also expressly thanked "the people of South Dakota for their love and support as Tim has met this unexpected challenge." |
