Pataki meets with Hispanic leaders
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Gov. George Pataki huddled with nearly 100 prominent Hispanic leaders Monday night for a holiday party that quickly focused on his possible presidential run, according to a source close to the New York Republican.
Pataki hosted the event in his hometown of Peeksill, New York, at a new office that will likely serve as his presidential campaign headquarters if he decides to run. The group at one point began chanting "Pataki for president" in Spanish, according to the source. The governor, leaving office after three terms, has said he will make a decision on a White House bid after the holidays. -- CNN Political Editor Mark Preston
