Kerry to discuss Middle East trip
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sen. John Kerry will discuss his upcoming trip to the Middle East Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. ET.
The Massachusetts Democrat plans to embark on the trip -- which will include stops in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, and Israel -- this weekend. Kerry told the Associated Press he does not expect to find U.S. troops upset over his 'botched joke' last month. "I've talked to plenty of guys who've come back from Iraq, who are there now, who understand exactly what happened," Kerry told the Associated Press Tuesday. "They laugh at it." -- CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney
