Martinez ready to deliver 'new message points'
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Ahead of President Bush's formal endorsement of Sen. Mel Martinez to head the Republican National Committee, the Florida Republican spent much of Tuesday discussing the position with veteran GOP strategists.
Two veteran operatives involved in the talks said Martinez will move quickly to communicate what one called "new message points" about his agenda and focus as the party seeks to recover from its midterm drubbing. -- CNN Senior National Correspondent John King
