CNN projects: Connecticut, New Hampshire, Tennessee governors
(CNN) -- CNN projects that in Connecticut, incumbent Republican Gov. Jodi
Rell will win election to her first full term. She will defeat the Democrat, New Haven Mayor John DeStefano. Rell assumed office when her predecessor, Gov. John Rowland, was jailed after an ethics scandal. CNN projects that in New Hampshire, Democratic Gov. John Lynch has won the governor's race, defeating Republican challenger James Coburn. CNN projects that in Tennessee, incumbent Democratic Gov. Phil Bredesen will win re-election, defeating Republican State Sen. Jim Bryson.
