Bush huddles tonight with political advisers
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- After voting in Crawford, Texas, Tuesday morning, President Bush returns to the White House where he will host a group dinner in the residence, Deputy White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said.
The president and first lady Laura Bush will break bread with Republican National Committee Chairman Ken Mehlman, White House Chief of Staff Josh Bolton, top political adviser Karl Rove and long-time family friend Brad Freeman. The group will monitor election results, watch returns, and call candidates. Neither Bush nor White House officials are expected to make comments tonight, leaving that to Mehlman. Bush is expected to make a statement on Wednesday. -- CNN White House Correspondent Suzanne Malveaux |
