Snow: GOP has 'better candidates and better arguments'
From CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- White House Press Secretary Tony Snow expressed confidence Republicans would maintain their majority in both houses of Congress Wednesday, asserting the GOP has "better candidates and better arguments." Snow also said President Bush will assume a visible role on the campaign trail in the closing weeks of the midterm election. "The President is going to make it clear to Republicans that he not only thinks they're going to win, he's going to help them win," Snow said during a press gaggle aboard Air Force One. "And that's what you do at the end of a campaign." President Bush has been an aggressive fundraiser for Republican candidates in this election cycle.
