Hoyer hits the campaign trail
From CNN Ticker Producer Alex Mooney

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer will lend his hand to five candidates Monday and Tuesday as he does his part to help the Democrats regain control of the House. Hoyer, the second-ranking Democrat in the House, will travel to four key states--Texas, Missouri, Illinois and Wisconsin -- to campaign and fundraise for candidates there, according to a statement.

In the next two days Hoyer will fundraise for former Rep. Nick Lampson in Texas, who is running for former Rep. Tom DeLay's old seat; Rep. Russ Carnahan in Missouri; Rep. Melissa Bean and candidate Dan Seals, both of Illinois; and candidate Steve Kagen of Wisconsin.
