Former President Clinton to support California energy conservation measure

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Former President Bill Clinton heads to California Friday to lend his support for a ballot initiative on energy conservation. Clinton's vice president, Al Gore, appeared in a campaign commercial backing the initiative that began airing earlier this week. The former president will announce his support for the Proposition 87 in a speech at UCLA. The measure calls for a decrease in oil consumption and an increase in the development of alternative energy sources. |
