Bush confident GOP will win
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Bush said Wednesday "I see a lot of enthusiasm among grass-roots" Republican activists and predicted "we're gonna win" the mid-term elections.
"Now, I understand here in Washington, people have already determined the outcome of the election -- like it's over even before the people actually start voting," Bush said, referring to predictions that the Democrats could take the House, Senate or both in November. "We've got some people dancing in the end zone here in Washington, D.C., measuring their drapes, going over to the Capitol and saying, my new office looks beautiful. I think I'm going to have this size drape here this color." |
