AP: Minn. Senate Hopefuls Clash on Iraq
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Candidates in Minnesota's closely watched U.S. Senate race clashed Sunday on issues such as Iraq and tax policy, with the Republican candidate saying he stood by his vote to authorize the war in Iraq.
"You can't really play Tivo and rewind," said Republican congressman Mark Kennedy, asked on NBC's "Meet the Press" whether he would still vote for the war knowing what he knows now. "We acted on the information we knew at the time. I stand by my vote." Full story America Votes 2006 |
