Allen gets African-American paper endorsement
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The Richmond Voice, an African-American newspaper in central Virginia, endorsed Virginia GOP Sen. George Allen over Democratic challenger Jim Webb in the closely-fought Virginia Senate Race.
The editorial said the "Democratic Party has always had a noose around Black folks' neck," and told readers that "a new breeze is blowing and you can either join it or stay shackled in the past." Read full editorial For more of CNN's coverage of key races, check out America Votes 2006 |
