A new Democratic group forms for Lieberman
From CNN's Mark Preston WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sen. Joe Lieberman, D-Connecticut, might be getting the cold shoulder from a majority of his Democratic colleagues, but three former Democratic members of Congress are forming a new organization called "Dems for Joe." Former Sen. Dennis Deconcini, D-Arizona; Rep. Norman D'Amours, D-New Hampshire; and Rep. Mel Levine, D-California, will formally announce the group in a media call later this afternoon, according to the Lieberman campaign. |
