McDonnell out of jail, for now

The Supreme Court granted an emergency motion Monday that will allow former Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell to stay out of jail while he seeks to appeal his conviction on federal corruption charges.
The one-page order came as at least a temporary reprieve for McDonnell, who is expected to file papers with the Court in the coming weeks. Any decision by the justices on whether to take up his case is several weeks away.

WH readies cyber sanctions against China

The White House is preparing a slate of sanctions it could bring against Chinese enterprises in response to cyberattacks against American businesses, a government official familiar with the process told CNN.
The move is a show of force on the issue just a few weeks ahead of a state visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping, and comes amid growing tensions between Washington and Beijing over China's increasingly assertive national security posture.

U.S. deploys Predator drones

The U.S. deployed MQ-1 Predator drones to Latvia for the first time this weekend, the Pentagon announced Monday.
The move is part of the "European Reassurance Initiative," an effort by the U.S. to show its NATO allies in Eastern Europe that it is committed to their security in the wake of Russian actions in Ukraine.

U.S. submarine returns from Arctic mission

For two months they were submerged under the ocean's surface, much of that time far below a solid mass of ice.
As they passed through the Bering Strait bordering Russia, they steered around undersea ice formations more than 30 feet deep. When they finally punched through the Arctic ice cap just shy of the North Pole, it took them five hours to break the ice off their submarine's key hatches so they could reach the fresh air.
Not only is the Montoya business adding an 8th location in the Chicago metropolitan area, the Montoya family is also growing.  They are expecting their fourth child in October.

"We weren't expecting the rapid growth. We opened our first location in 2012 and less than six months later, due to the great response from the people, we opened our second location," said Eladio Montoya, 35.

And in his ode to the former President, titled "B---- I'm Bill Clinton," he raps a sort of endorsement for Hillary Clinton even before her 2016 presidential bid was announced: "Shout-outs to Hillary Clinton. You gonna win that presidency."
