ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST, California (CNN) -- Hikers and off-road enthusiasts are hopping mad over the closure of 3,000 acres of prime forest land in order to save the endangered southwest arroyo toad.

In addition to keeping the public out, biologists are catching the toads and fitting them with tiny radio transmitters. In the meantime, off-roaders say the service is needlessly spoiling their fun. CNN's Siobhan Darrow has the full story.
