SANTA MARIA, California (CNN) -- The central coast of California is known for its beautiful, rolling terrain, oak trees and grazing cattle..
But today, farmers and environmental activists are battling over how to best use the land. The farmers want to plow it, and the activists want to keep it unchanged.
Recently, hundreds of farmers filled the county building in Santa Maria to protest land regulations Santa Barbara County is considering.
