American Heart Association meeting opens in Dallas

DALLAS (CNN) -- At current rates of cardiovascular disease, half of all Americans will die of either heart disease or a stroke. This weekend in Dallas, some 23,000 medical professionals dedicated to improving those odds began gathering for an American Heart Association conference. CNN Medical Correspondent Rhonda Rowland takes a look at some of the advances they will be discussing.
