MIAMI (CNN) -- Determination and hope have brought 13-year-old Danny Canal to a victorious moment -- leaving a Miami hospital after six months of recovery from a multiple organ transplant.

But that's only part of Danny's story. He made medical history by becoming the first person to undergo three such multiple organ transplants.

The first two were unsuccessful, but, as CNN's Holly Firfer reports, Danny remains full of hope that the third time is a charm.
