New TB vaccine said to be more accurate
FORT COLLINS, Colorado (CNN)-- Researchers at Colorado State University say they have developed a tuberculosis vaccine that does not produce false-positives in skin tests.
The current vaccine often triggers a positive test result, even when the person is not infected. Tuberculosis is the leading bacterial killer in the world. The new vaccine is still years away from being tested on humans.
