(CNN) -- For the diner, lobsters may be a delicacy, but for several people along the way these popular crustaceans are a livelihood.

Mike and Steve Jordan of Long Island, New York run Jordan Lobster Farms, $10 million business that includes wholesale distribution of live lobsters. It is a family business started by their father.

Twenty-five years ago Steve, Mike and their father moved the business to a larger location on Long Island and found another way to make money. They opened a take-out business and later a dock side restaurant and gourmet grocery store.

Their bother Bill has carved out his own piece of the action, he separately owns a $5 million restaurant and wholesale business serving up lobster in the Sheepshead Bay section of Brooklyn.

Allan Dodds Frank takes a closer look at this entrepreneurial family and their success story.
