NEW YORK (CNN) -- "Charlie the Tuna" returns to television Monday after
an absence of almost a decade.
StarKist Tuna is using the animated spokesfish in a new national
advertising campaign for one of its leading products, Starkist White Albacore.
The ad features Charlie out of water for the first time, arguing for the taste
of StarKist Tuna in a courtroom scene.
The ad will air in 15 markets nationwide including New York, Philadelphia,
Baltimore, Boston, Los Angeles and Miami.
Charlie was created in 1961 and has appeared in 85 commercials for StarKist.
