CINCINNATI (CNN) -- Many of the gaping onlookers outside
NBC's "Today" studio may be daydreaming about puckering up with anchor Katie Couric. And Dallas Cowboys star Troy Aikman is winning more than just football games.
According to a new study, Couric and Aikman are among
America's top picks for a "kissably close" Valentine's
encounter. First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton garnered two top
kudos: she was voted the most and least kissable political figure.
The first-ever Scope Kissably Close Report asked 1,000 men
and women to name the person they would most like to kiss
this Valentine's Day. Most desired close encounters were
selected in six categories: prime-time television,
national TV news or talk shows, movies, professional sports,
politics and music.
Peckable Prime-Time Personalities: "Baywatch" beauty Pamela
Anderson Lee is a big hit among men, while ER doc George
Clooney is the most kissable winner among women. Voted least
kissable were Roseanne and Michael Richards, otherwise known
as the charismatic Kramer from "Seinfeld."
Talking Heads: American men swoon at the site of Couric,
while women melt over ABC anchor Peter Jennings. Both were
voted most kissable in the news/talk-show host category. But
if talk-show maven Rosie O'Donnell and NBC anchor Tom Brokaw
were to pucker up, most of those surveyed would turn the
other way.
Hollywood Headliners: Male fans looking to smooch silver
screen superstars chose the sexy celeb Demi Moore as their
fave; women said they're on a mission impossible to kiss
recent Golden Globe winner Tom Cruise. Americans, however,
aren't lining up to kiss Goldie Hawn and Clint Eastwood.
Pro Sports: Aikman is the athlete most women want to huddle
with on Valentine's Day; skating phenom Katarina Witt is
American men's top choice. Basketball star Dennis Rodman and
tennis pro Steffi Graf were voted least kissable.
Capital kissers: John F. Kennedy Jr., despite his recent
marriage, is still America's darling. But when it comes to
kissing House speaker Newt, women gave him the boot.
Song in my heart: Vanessa Williams has the kissable lips
that top men's lists while Madonna is not the material girl
men want to woo. Women chose country star Clint Black as
their top kisser. Snubbed was the artist formerly known as
Prince.
