WASHINGTON (CNN) -- In what has come to be a Clinton White House tradition, the president read the poem "The Night Before Christmas" to a group of school children Friday afternoon.
The kids were from "Growing Together," a volunteer tutoring program in the Washington public schools. Mrs. Clinton also attended the East Room event.
This is the fourth year children from the Washington area have been invited to the White House to hear Clinton read the classic Clement Clarke Moore story.
There were about 70 children, between the ages of 6 and 10.
