Personal stats:
- 37 years old
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri
- Scott joined CNN as a producer in 1985. Four years later, he accepted the position of executive/supervising producer and fulfilled those duties for six years. In January 1995, he switched roles to become editor in chief at Interactive. A year later, he assumed the title of vice president/editor in chief.
- Prior to CNN, Scott worked as a producer and photographer for local television stations in Orlando, Fla., Richmond, Va., and Tulsa, Okla.
